Seeing a bear in the wild can be exciting, but bears are very dangerous. This course will present you with information regarding bears and how best to respect them in their natural habitat. Topics in the course include distinguishing between black bears and grizzly bears, bear feeding habits, and steps you can take to avoid an encounter with a bear. This will help you work safely in bear country. Mastery of this Enrichment course qualifies you for credit towards the Safety Technologist (ST) certificate. The ST certificate has been awarded Certification Maintenance Points (CMP) by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) and Registration Maintenance (RM) points by the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (CRBOH).
