Industrial Hygiene is the discipline of anticipating, recognizing, evaluating and controlling health hazards in the working environment. The objective is to protect worker health and well-being, and to safeguard the community at large. Proper implementation of the industrial hygiene program protects personnel from chemical, physical, and biological hazards. Mastery of this Core course qualifies you for credit towards the Safety Practitioner (SP) certificate. The SP certificate has been awarded Certification Maintenance Points (CMP) by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) and Registration Maintenance (RM) points by the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (CRBOH).
