• Ground Disturbance and Excavations
It is important that workers creating a ground disturbance know the hazards and risks involved in this practice, the requirements involved in planning a ground disturbance, and what protective equipment should be used. This course has been designed to help you meet all regulatory and government requirements including the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Code and has been developed consistent with Enform Industry Recommended Practice (IRP) 17. On completion of this course you will be able to list the hazards commonly involved in ground disturbance, describe planning and field requirements, and explain the documentation requirements for ground disturbance. Mastery of this Elective course qualifies you for credit towards the Safety Specialist (SS) certificate. The SS certificate has been awarded Certification Maintenance Points (CMP) by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) and Registration Maintenance (RM) points by the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (CRBOH).
