• Job Safety Analysis
Employers are required to identify workplace hazards and protect their employees from harm, and employees have the right to know about the hazards in their workplace so they can protect themselves. One way to accomplish this is by conducting a Job Safety Analysis (JSA). This course was developed to aid employers, contractors, and workers meet the requirements of the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Code, Part 2. Upon completion of this course you will have been shown how to identify tasks and their component steps that are suitable for a JSA, and list the steps involved in conducting a JSA. Mastery of this Core course qualifies you for credit towards the Safety Practitioner (SP) certificate. The SP certificate has been awarded Certification Maintenance Points (CMP) by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) and Registration Maintenance (RM) points by the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (CRBOH).
