This course will provide you with an overview of the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, Regulation, and Code.
The purpose of this course is to increase your awareness of the OHS Code beginning with the basic requirements of the
Act and Regulation and key aspects of the Code including: Hazard Assessment (Part 2) and emphasizing the other Parts
that are of interest to individuals doing work for electrical utilities. Mastery of this Core course qualifies you for
credit towards the Safety Practitioner (SP) certificate. The SP certificate has been awarded Certification
Maintenance Points (CMP) by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) and Registration Maintenance
